There are nine-translation shift belong to level shift, they are: verb \udtranslated into verb phrase verb phrase into verb phrase into adjective into verb \udinto noun into adverb phrase into adverb and into preposition.\udThe researcher also classifies the markers verbs and verb phrases.
From 600 data found by researcher, there are ten-translation shift \udbelong to category shift, they are: verb into verb into noun into adjective into \udadverb into preposition, into interjection into verb + particle -lah into directive \udpronoun. There are two shift of translation namely: category shift \udand level shift. \udThe results of the data analysis show that there are eight types of verbs and \udten types of verb phrases. She applies comparison method in \udanalyzing the data of the study. They are collected from both \udnovels by using documentation method. The data are in the form \udof sentences containing verbs and verb phrases.
The aims of this research are to identify the types of verbs and verb \udphrases, to describe the translation shifts and to classify the markers verbs and \udverb phrases in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and its translation.\udThis research is descriptive qualitative research.
